Impulse responses from the world’s best reverb units
Samplicity creates high resolution impulse responses (IRs) using famous, exclusive hardware reverb units and synthetic modelling. Using a unique and meticulous process the sounds of these reverbs are captured with a resolution and quality that surpass all other commercial and free IR’s from the same reverbs.
What are impulse responses?
In audio signal processing, impulse responses are used for convolution reverb, a process for digitally simulating the reverberation of a physical or virtual space.

Bricasti M7 IR library released
Samplicity has released the new and free Impulse Response library created with the immensely popular and highly acclaimed Bricasti M7 reverb. Go to the download page…
It is based on the mathematical convolution operation and uses a pre-recorded audio sample of the IR of the space being modelled. More on WikiPedia…

What do you need to apply impulse responses?
If you want to use IRs in your digital mixer or software sampler, you need a convolution reverb plugin, that can interface with the plugin protocol of your environment (for instance VST, TDM or RTAS). The most commonly used convolvers are:
- Altiverb from AudioEase (both Mac and PC)
Steinberg REVerence (Cubase 5), which can read our new Quad files- Vienna Suite Convolver, which can read our new Quad files
- IR-1 from Waves (both Mac and PC)
- Space Designer, from Apple for Logic (Mac-only)
- LiquidSonics Reverberate
- Pristine Space, from Voxengo (PC-only)
- TL Space, from DigiDesign (for ProTools)
- SIR2, from Knufinke (Mac and PC)
Impulse response files are 32 or 24 bit audio files, so whether you use Logic, ProTools, Cubase, Nuendo or any other Digital Audio Workstation software, you can always use the excellent reverbs from Samplicity in your DAW.
Quotes from satisfied customers
I have received so many positive reactions from Samplicity IR users, here are just a very few of them.
Guys, I strongly recommend you get this one. It’s a fantastic set of reverb impulses and super cheap for what you get, considering that the real hardware is 11 grand! A no-brainer for anyone doing orchestral music, imo.Thomas J. Bergersen from Two Steps From Hell

I am absolutely floored with the quality of this thing. Peter has done an amazing job with this library. There are so many impulses here, its kind of mind blowing to start with. I think there’s something here for every occasion. What stands out from the start is how clean the impulses are compared to the freebies found on NoiseVault and other places around the net. These IR’s are PRISTINE! … I absolutely can’t say enough about this impulse collection. … You won’t find a better deal anywhere. … Highly recommended. And a special thanks to Peter for all the help.J.B., USA
Hello there Peter,
I want you to know that they are my go-to IRs now when I use Space Designer. It’s incredibly easy for me to call them up, and tweak the reverb settings if I need. I love the variety of the files, and the incredible quality of the sound. I look forward to your next set!N.B., Montreal, Canada
Peter Roos has developed highly recommendable products for music production and sound design, which I use regularly. I really appreciate his deep knowledge of mathematics and processing that has been involved in that, and I say that from the point of view of a studied physicist and musician. He is really the expert, and many composers rely on his work on a daily base.H.F., Germany, posted on Peter’s LinkedIn page
