Demos

On this page you can listen to L96 reverb demos and T600 reverb demos. The Hall and Church presets from these impulse response libraries are also available in the separate library called Halls and Churches.

L96 Impulse Responses

The L96 reverb library has been created with a very famous “Lexington” hardware reverb.

A great Jazz track with the Jazz Hall preset. Thanks, Amit!

Adding reverb to anechoid orchestral recordings

The real “torture” test for reverbs and impulse responses is to apply them to the most “dry” material possible: anechoid recordings. The classical pieces below demonstrate that the Samplicity impulses can even be used for very dry source materials. No equalization has been used, the convolution plugin has only been switched on and off in these demos. Of course even better results can be achieved by applying some EQ on the source, such as high and low roll-offs, to mimick the effect that these frequency ranges tend to drop with more distant microphone placements.

Using the “Medium-Large Hall, Extra ERs” preset, switched on and off. This is really one of my favorite demos!

Thomas J. Bergersen

Trailer music composer Thomas Bergersen (aka “TJ”), who is now running Two Steps From Hell in Los Angeles, together with composer and producer Nick Phoenix (check their site!), has been so kind in 2007 to make a demo with the L96 library for me, using one of his mockups created with sample libraries.

Mix with two True Stereo IR sets from T600

New demos for the T600 library will be added soon. I was not so happy with the original ones. The IRs are a lot better than the old demos ;-)
