Huge PITA! In order to help prevent other people's headaches, I've uploaded the Samplitude version here. I Hope this saves people some effort.

I created the IRs at 48 Khz and downsampled them using Voxengo's excellent R8BrianPro. I currently do not have new release plans, but I hope do something with the multi-position IRs that I also made with the Bricasti (7 positions in the stereo field, with which you could create all kinds of True Stereo presets, for instance for French Horns (very left in the field) and Viola (wider, a bit to the right in the field).
Cheers,
Peter

Hello David,

I created the IRs at 48 Khz and downsampled them using Voxengo’s excellent R8BrianPro. is the 32bit 44.1 version sampled at this native sample rate, or did you downsample it from the higher sample rate version?
also, is there an ETA for the version 2 impulses?
cheers

thanks for making these <img

Can't be that hard to get that close. On their FAQ number 41, there are numerous other things, to probe deep into, that eventually leads up to that final question of convolution. They get pretty dense and goes on quite a bit. It's evident that Quantecs views on how a reverb should be made are not for us noobs. And that their customer base is very clearly discerning high end only, and I think - frankly - classical or acosutic music, simulating real spaces and rooms and so on.

Yes, it would be cheaper anyway. I agree that you cannot capture non-linear aspects of reverb units, but still, you can get very close to the sound of the captured presets for fraction of the price of the expensive real units. For my music I use all my three libraries and I am still very happy with the excellent ambiance I can create with them.
Cheers,
Peter

Hehe <img

Make sure to klick the plus sign at +41 question number 41. There's a whole lot there which I didn't think belong here. Deep tissue reverb talk, and then some.

<a
